WHAT IS SEEKERS CIRCLE


Simply  described,  Seekers  Circle is  a  nonprofit  religious  corporation 
operated  by  the  United  Wiccan Church to  provide  accurate  and  factual 
information on what Wicca is to the general public.  

Seekers  Circle offers a variety of classes on weekends in four to six  week 
sessions  on  many  different  types of Wiccan  as  well  as  versus  occult 
sciences.  These classes will be of interest to person wanting to learn more 
about  Wicca or who is seeking a coven; or if already belonging to a  coven, 
wishing to acquire more knowledge. Seekers Circle is not only an opportunity 
for  new students to meet teachers and members of other groups, but all  can 
learn about different traditions and the differences in groups within  those 
traditions.   These classes may lead to anything from just an  understanding 
of what Wicca is, to becoming a participant in the Religion of Wicca.  


Seekers  Circle  was conceived on the Summer Solstice of 1985  by  the  High 
Priestess  and  High Priest of Covenant of the Doves.   They  realized  that 
there were many potential students of Wicca under 18 years of age who had no 
place  to  go where they could receive non-expletive information  about  the 
Craft.  When it became apparent that the needs of those under 18 were shared 
by  people of many ages, the age limit was removed.  It is  still  necessary 
that Seekers under 18 have a signed written consent from their guardians.


Since  its inception in 1985, Seekers Circle  has had a class membership  of 
over  350  people, and has formed, or is in the process  of  forming  anther 
Seekers  Circles in northern California and 2 in other states, and has  been 
copied  by  at  least two other independent groups (the  sincerest  form  of 
flattery).    
 
In the winter of 1987, it became obvious that Seekers Circle had grown  much 
larger than originally anticipated.  In order to service both the Seeker and 
the Craft, it was found necessary that Seekers Circle undergo the process of 
change, as all things must do to evolve.

All  sincere  Seekers are welcome.  If you wish to take  advantage  of  this

When  your  letter  is  received by Seekers Circle  you  will  be  sent  the 
following information:

     A copy of the information sheet.
     The "What is Wicca" hand out. 
     An application and questionnaire to be completed.
     A consent form for Wiccan Education by Seekers Circle.  
     Students under 18 years will need signed parental consent.  


                           REVIEW OF APPLICATION 

Upon receiving the application, the information will be reviewed by  Seekers 
Circle.  If the application is accepted, the applicant will be contacted  to 
set up an appointment for an interview with Seekers Circle teachers.
